FC Mobile Gangway – faster and more efficient ship access

The application gives on-line updates on the total number of guests and/or crew on board or ashoreFC Mobile Gangway is an add-on to the existing Gangway Security Module and has been designed specifically to make access management quicker and easier. It can be used for managing both passenger and crew access to and from the ship, as well as tracking passenger and crew movements.

FC Mobile Gangway is suitable for hand-held devices with bar code scanning capability, allowing passengers' On-board Cards to be read and processed instantaneously. By using multiple mobile units, the entire ship access process becomes faster and more efficient.

The FC Mobile Gangway generates warnings to alert ship personnel if, for example, a guest does not have a valid visa and is therefore not allowed ashore; or perhaps a crew member has been denied shore leave because of safety duties; or children are attempting to leave the ship unaccompanied; or a passenger is seeking to disembark without settling his bill.

The application is continuously on-line and is synchronised with a ship's main database which allows continuous and uninterrupted passenger access flow. Guests no longer need to queue, and their cards can be scanned at any location within the ship's proximity. They could, for example, be used when buses used for shore excursions arrive at the terminal or park near the pier.
