MSC Fantasia sets sail supported by the latest in Fidelio Cruise software
MSC Fantasia, the latest addition to MSC Cruises’ fleet, has the very latest Fidelio Cruise software constantly operating in the background. Fidelio Cruise systems on board support the 1300 highly trained crew in setting new standards of efficiency and service throughout the vessel.
MSC Fantasia has Fidelio Cruise’s Ship’s Property Management System (SPMS) at the centre of its software installations, but the cruise line has chosen a number of add-on modules to raise operational efficiency still further. FC Shore Excursion software raises service levels and assists in maximising revenue by keeping managers informed of excursion status, empty places and waiting lists. Meanwhile the Casino Module improves operating efficiency and credit control, and allows guests more flexibility in payment options. In the Aurea Spa, Fidelio Cruise’s Spa Module ensures that best use is made of both treatment rooms and therapists’ time.
For cruise managers ashore, the Fleet Management System (FMS) provides daily updates on all shipboard transactions. Data relating to all of the transactions on board are sent ashore where they can be analysed in any number of dimensions. Comparisons can be made between different retail outlets, for example, or the popularity of certain shore excursions, restaurants or bars.
Speaking for Fidelio Cruise, President Tony Heuer comments: “We are proud to have worked closely with MSC Cruises on board the MSC Fantasia and we are of course delighted that the company has once again chosen our software to help support shipboard and office operations.”
The MSC Fantasia is the first cruise vessel to have an exclusive VIP area. From the moment VIP guests arrive, specially trained concierge personnel will see to their every need, including VIP Check-in, luggage handling and unpacking. All the time, Fidelio Cruise systems are operating constantly in the background to ensure the very highest service standards. Access to the VIP Yacht Club, located on the upper passenger decks, is controlled by unique VIP cards, specially encoded by Fidelio Cruise to allow access to the exclusive upper floor area.
